Container drayage services with Gelle Transport
Container drayage moves standard 20-foot and 40-foot containers by truck between ports, rail terminals, container yards and inland facilities. It is the domestic trucking link that gets containerised freight off the terminal and to the dock where it is needed — or back again.
Per diem, demurrage and chassis
Container moves involve time-sensitive charges: demurrage when a container sits at the terminal too long, per diem (detention) when it is kept outside the terminal beyond the allowed days, and chassis rental. Fast, well-planned drayage keeps these costs down.

Transload and inland delivery
Some freight is transloaded from containers into 53-foot dry vans for longer domestic moves. We can coordinate drayage to a transload facility and onward truckload delivery.
