Truckload transportation with Gelle Transport
Truckload transportation is about more than one load — it is how your business secures reliable truck capacity week after week. Gelle Transport supports shippers with a mix of contract truckload (agreed lanes and rates over time), spot truckload (individual loads booked as needed) and multi-stop or volume shipments that fall between LTL and a full trailer.
Contract versus spot truckload
Contract truckload suits predictable freight: you agree lanes, volumes and rates in advance, which gives you capacity you can count on and pricing you can budget for. Spot truckload covers one-off or irregular loads at current market rates. Most shippers use both — contract for the base and spot for surges.

Volume and partial truckload
Shipments that are too large for LTL but do not fill a trailer — often 6 to 12 pallets — can move as volume or partial truckloads. This avoids LTL terminal handling and reclassification charges while costing less than a dedicated full trailer on many lanes.
Building a truckload program
We review your shipping history, identify recurring lanes and recommend which freight to commit, which to keep flexible and where consolidation could reduce your number of shipments.

Truckload Transportation FAQs
What is the difference between truckload and full truckload?
Full truckload describes a single shipment that uses a whole trailer. Truckload transportation is the wider service — contract and spot capacity, multi-stop loads and volume shipments.
Do you offer contract truckload rates?
Yes. We can agree lane rates for recurring freight based on your volumes and schedule.
What is a partial truckload?
A shipment that takes part of a trailer and shares it with other freight, without moving through LTL terminals.
